The Curtis Hotel Denver: Themed Floors Review From Our Stay

Looking for a fun, family-friendly hotel in downtown Denver? The Curtis Denver, a DoubleTree by Hilton, offers playful themed floors, kid-friendly amenities, and a convenient location. Here’s our full review from our stay in August 2025, with tips on costs, dining, and nearby attractions.

Our Stay at The Curtis Hotel Denver

We booked The Curtis Hotel Denver using Hilton Points for our daughter’s 9th birthday. The downtown location was perfect for exploring the Museum of Illusions, Meow Wolf Convergence Station, and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science — but honestly, one of the highlights was just exploring the hotel itself.

From a bright, retro lobby to fully themed elevators, The Curtis transforms a standard hotel stay into a mini-adventure. With 13 themed floors, it feels like part hotel, part attraction.

The Rooms & Mountain Views

The rooms were nice. Clean, large, and cozy. The best part though was the 16th floor view from the room!

Cookies & Quirks

Like every DoubleTree, The Curtis greeted us with a warm cookie at check-in — a fun tradition that never gets old. Even better, they had an allergy-friendly cookie option for our daughter, which we really appreciated.

Coffee, on the other hand, was less exciting. DoubleTree no longer offers complimentary lobby coffee, so expect to pay about $4 per cup in the restaurant. Bottled water is usually comped for top-tier Hilton members.

Quick Summary: Cookies, Coffee & Status Perks

Cookies: Warm cookie at check-in, plus an allergy-friendly option for kids.

Coffee & Water: Bottled water is complimentary with top status. Coffee runs ~$4.

Status Perks in Practice: Breakfast/drink credits vary; confirm at check-in.
